There is something Jesse does to the tune in the cam timing. I do not know what he does though.

Maybe we can bribe him into telling us his secrets.....

The Intakes will be delivered at 7:00am CST tomorrow. I am going to take pics of the Pallets and post them on the Cadillac Forum.

as for the tune, I changed my PE Delay RPM to Zero and changed some more tranny settings. I am going to test them out after work and see how they do. I will report back my findings........

I like most of the changes I made. I am making some small revisions to the shift points. I don't like how it acts going around corners when turning at slow speeds. It goes from 1st to 2nd and back to first so I am changing the shift speeds to correct it. I will test it again tomorrow and let you know.

Here is my file. I changed quite a bit from stock. Shifts in Sport mode are about 6900 rpm, at least the 2-3 shift is. The roads are slippery with sand and salt so I can't get to full throttle in first gear before the tires spin and the 3-4 shift is around 120mph, faster than I want to go on the street. I lowered the speed of some of the downshift points so that when I roll into it hard exiting a corner it doesn't downshift and scare the crap out of me.

I've been trying some things for fuel mileage but I have not seen any difference. I lowered the switch points of the o2s to 200mv but it made no difference in cruise afr. I also changed the dfco settings to activate it more often. AFR goes way lean during decel but the injectors don't turn all the way off. Transitions are seamless so I'm keeping the dfco settings.

I still have my Powerhop Enabled. I don't do any runs from a dead stop to help protect my tranny. I alway go from a dig around 20-30mph..... Once I get her all dialed in I will take my chances at the track.

P.S. I got my Intake put on last night and OMFG!!

Check out this scan from this morning (closed course, obviously).

The cam timing goes away at 6700 rpm even though the table in the computer calls for the same timing all the way up to 8000. I have not messed with the cam timing tables at all. Not sure what is going on there.

Just looked at the file and the disable RPM is set to 6700 on the intake and exhaust. I didn't see that before. It's fixed now but I'm posting the log anyway.

Fun starts at frame 1000 and 11446

I left powerhop enabled as well.

Blower whine is ridiculous with an intake isn't it? I love it.

I changed mine to 7200 and my commanded shift points right now are 6500. I had them at 6700 and couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. Now I know. The Cam timing shut off and caused the car to stop pulling.

I was pretty sure there was a slight difference in 2007 and 2006 tunes.. That and about ~120+lbs.. I had an issue when changing anything in the torque management tab of the engine section. Not transmission, but engine.. Things like TCS max torque..

It rendered my TUTD completely useless.. it would upshift.. but never downshift.. like I manually couldn't do it. Strange business. This is awesome. Where do you get these intakes and how much are they?

I was just going get a slot-MAF bung welded onto a section of 4 inch tubing with a 4 inch filter with a heat shield.. When we talk IATs and timing reduction vs IATs.. is this IAT1 (MAF) or IAT2 (MAT after intercooler).
2006 Trailblazer SS - Stalled, Cammed, Tuned, Turbo'd, Built, and Stroked.
Runs on cash, blood, sweat, and tears...... and 93 octane.

    2007 Cadillac STS-V - Stock.

I've not changed the max torque setting but none of the other changes I made had adverse effects.

The IATs we talk about are IAT2, that is what the computer references when it removes timing.
