    Spark and PE questions

I know a dyno would answer this question, however if you pros were remote tuning, 2 questions:

1- when doing spark for power, do you put max spark at the top of the tq curve and lower as the rpm climbs OR max spark at peak tq and stay all the way to redline?

2- same with PE, do you command fatter at peak torq and lean it out as rpms climb? Or keep it throughout the rpm band?

    Thanks !

Depends on the setup and if NA or Boosted. And the below is a general statement and not to be taken as gospel once you deviate past simple bolt-ons.

In general NA stuff likes a richer mixture and a timing "dip" right before peak torque and then bring the timing back up and level it out to redline and also lean it out a touch more to redline. And in general a boosted setup likes to just ramp timing from a lower value to a higher value with a rich dip earlier in the RPM band (still around peak torque but this RPM is usually lower than an NA motor) and then slightly leaner to redline.

If talking about stock cam LT1 stuff, peak timing will be well before peak torque. If talking about a stock cam LT4, peak timing will be at redline.
